Feed the Need

According to the U.S. Census Bureau of 2000, Gunter had a population of 1,230 people. Of those, 6.2 percent were living below poverty level. As you know, Gunter is an expanding community, and while the population is growing, so is the need to help those who are underprivileged. You don’t have to look far in the Gunter city limits to see the need is here. It is right under our noses and in our backyards.

This need has been a growing concern in our lives, as we are sure that it has in yours. We desire to help meet the needs of the hungry in our community. Can you help us? Feed the Need is a program that has been developed to help our community feed our neighbors during the holiday season. In the months of October and November, boxes will be strategically placed throughout Gunter for people like you to place nonperishables. You can be sure that all the food we collect will be used in Gunter. We need your help in locating names and addresses of those who are in need. We don’t want to leave any legitimate needs unattended. It’s our goal to raise enough canned goods to Feed the Need in Gunter, Texas.
