S.A.M. Club 2010

Summer is here and The Mission will once again be hosting S.A.M. (Summer Arts and More) Club. This is a time for kids to get together with friends, beat the heat and learn!

The dates for this year are:

June 17th: Art
June 24th: Music/Theater
July 1st: Martial Arts
July 8th: Band

We will meet from 9:30 am-11:00 am in the Old Elementary Gym. Students who are entering 1st through 5th grades are eligible to attend.

The Mission ESL Class

The Mission now offers ESL classes for people in the Gunter community wishing to improve their English speaking skills.

The 12 week course curriculum is based on the book of Jonah in the Bible. Students are learning vocabulary and comprehension skills using elements from the story of Jonah.

Class meets on Tuesday nights from 7:00 pm to 9:00pm at The Mission location (Old Elementary Gym). For more information, call 903-267-3140.

Christmas Blessing Baskets

Would you like to help bless another family this Christmas?

The Mission will be distributing baskets of blessing to folks in our community this Christmas season. The baskets will consist of pantry and household staples, home baked goods, and a Christmas message.

If you would like to be a part of this distribution, please join us at 9:00 am on Saturday, December 19th at The Mission (old elementary gym). We will assemble and deliver baskets at this time.

There will be no Mission Table meal this month. We hope that you have a wonderful Christmas season with your loved ones. God bless!
